A mix to celebrate the Fall of 1995! More changes and stability making Austin the place to be.

April 26, 2021 • 43:56

The conclusion to the Summer of 1995 which would also have my third trip to Chicago that year!

KMAG 18 - August 1995, Side A

April 17, 2021 • 45:48

The Summer of 1995 just kept getting better. I was now making enough money to support myself and then some (when it was possible in Austin). Now I could feed my music habit with less worry.

KMAG April Fools' Day 2021

March 31, 2021 • 55:31

One of my favorite holidays! Celebrating jokes and pranks. The humor on this podcast will vary but I tried my best to get the stand-up bits to match all songs except the opener.

March 15, 2021 • 43:04

And so concludes 1995 with the first completely computer-animated movie being a hit!

KMAG 1995 Fruition 5

March 7, 2021 • 43:57

Dexter's Laboratory was the winner for Cartoon Network's first original show so I thought he would be a great mascot to show how 1995 was coming together for me!

KMAG 1995 Fruition 6

March 7, 2021 • 44:56

Blowing up the Death Star was about on par with defeating all the regret I was feeling near the end of 1994, moving to Austin was a mistake. Now I was getting somewhere.

KMAG 1995 Fruition 4

February 25, 2021 • 42:40

Like Scrooge McDuck, from a small start can an empire of music grow! My collection had grown from just a few CDs 10 years earlier. Keep enjoying what 1995 had to offer.

KMAG 1995 Fruition 3

February 20, 2021 • 43:55

Here's the revised, improved third mix which jumbled up a couple weak categories to create a better balance contained within the 45-minute contraints.

KMAG 1995 Fruition 2

February 18, 2021 • 44:49

Another string of songs to keep the Spirit of 1995 rolling!

KMAG 1995 Fruition 1

February 10, 2021 • 45:06

Here's the first collection of "random" songs from 1995. The year is called Fruition because now my Austin plans had finally come together. First up was a temp gig at Apple which is what the System 7.5 watch represents. It wasn't well-made as it got destroyed by some asshole at the Matthew Sweet concert that Fall.

KMAG 1995 Covers

The tribute-cover-cause…whatever album was definitely in full swing. Often these could be weak if the artist's take was identical to the original. Fortunately in 1995, these selections demonstrate many taking a chance on changing the arrangement, pace, genre or injecting humor.
